hasmalum solo strat?

Post  groms13lade on Tue Sep 13, 2011 8:13 pm

I have level 84 holy swordsman and cant even break 80%. I get all the summons from the tower and still no avail. Do I have to wait till lvl 99 for some solid attempts?

Both on normal and very easy.

He's not that hard just annoying.

Do you have the "unknown upgrades" on gaia? -> it help a lot
Like many other bosses monk is the way to go if you're well equipped and leveled.

What i do in early game is go to get into the snowy mountains is using sorcerer. Ultima->run till he stops following->ultima->run-> (repeat till dead).
Takes a lot of time but it's easy to do after you get used and even at level 15 you should be able to kill him.

When you're a little better equipped/leveled just go with monk. Avatar, run in and attack him (forget it's summons). Use gaia to teleport home if you get low health and come back healed. Repeat till he's dead.

Oh, and kill his friend first since he's rather squishy.

I always used knight to kill hashalum, but monk propably works better cause of hashalums annoying blind. Also you should try with a lvl 99 job since it gets +150 to all stats.

Forgot knight, but only on higher levels and with a good attack speed.
Clones+feedback should take care of hash's mana I guess (so no more blind or heal after a while).

Hmm... Hashmalum (Hashalum?)... I don't remember him being a specifically annoying opponent in solo, but I haven't played in a while. I might go running through soon, and I'll see what comes out of that.

One possible strategy is to stack hero drinks and play Ninja/Samurai and crit him out of existence. I don't know how effective that would be, I've not tried it before.
Also, make sure to have elixirs in the store at the very least. Getting that quest done early is good. If you need extra gold to buy them, look at levelling Thief. (Go idle with the Thief in somewhere like Naga Island. >_>)
Final derailment: Once you can buy elixirs, make sure to save one in your spirit, so from then on you can get them going immediately. (Please don't make elixirs unsavable. /plead)

One Phoenix Down or one stack?
Also, do you use your spirit of gaia at all for it?

Hmm... Interesting that you use Sorceror. Warrior jobs on the whole are more effective at higher levels. (And I get the feeling that'll still be the same in 0.9.3, despite the efforts to change it.)
Though I guess almost any class with the same gear and ultimate masters would be viable. (I'm now tempted to try it as a Priest. >_>)

i take it 1 stack (3 count) but i die only 1 time so i use it only 1 down

i do change all ultimate class to get bonus hp and dmg and go ultima him and lightening heal coz he always blind on your hero and make a lot of "miss"

Sorcerer is a good soloing class, especially against multiple opponents (Hashmalum, Velius and the Infernal Templars). Oh, and you can counter his Blind by using your Spirit of Gaya's Break Magic pretty well.

True... Using spells due to blind is a good idea indeed.

And BTW, Break Magic has a cooldown of ~10 seconds. It's really effective because I'm pretty sure it beats Hash's Blind cooldown.

blind cooldown is around ~10 sec also (i guess it same cd with oracle skill)

when you break it he blind asap ^^"

but i can solo him with samurai also it's easier than use sorcerer (with ulitima weapon and his ability he can make large amount of cri dmg and his illu can do also)

Huh. I thought Blind was longer than that.. Ok, yeah, I guess that isn't so viable. But if you can trap the AI into doing something else, you could have a few seconds..

Whatever, I really need to actually get playing again so I can re-learn everything I've forgotten.

True. So Samurai is good, Monk is good, Sorc is good. Hmm... Can we Stop him? (Not like Time Mage has good enough DPS anyway, but still.)

Break Magic is useful against Blind if you use it just after he casts Blind on you. I think Blind and Break Magic have similar CDs so this technique works quite well.

If i'm not mistaken when break magic cooldown finishes, blind should be almost recovered again.
So you should only effectively use break magic around once every 2 blinds or maximum effect.

And time mage at end game should be pumping damage like crazy. Time mage lacks critical strike but since haste makes him a fast attacker with a death skull (i think that's the name of the 2x critical strike artefact) you should see how well it kills.
Samurai has a better damage so it would be better for bosses but i still take time mage any other time for the faster move speed.

Duo: Time Mage + Samurai. GG
But a solo Time Mage isn't so good with his huge AS, a mage isn't meant to put out large amounts of physical damage.
(TBH WCIII's stats system annoys me, if possible I'd set melee damage to be based on strength, and ranged damage to be based on either your weapon, nothing, or your ammo. Or something like that. But then, if I had the skill and provided WCIII has the capabilities, I'd be doing a lot of tweaking to the stats...)

Anyway, what's this about Breaking Magic every 2 Blinds? If they have the same cooldown, then just have Break Magic always firing ~.5s after Blind. And, I believe the conclusion is that they are the same.

Post  darkcry0406 on Mon Nov 26, 2012 8:16 am

i always beat that demon use the prophet its more effective to its armor

i BEAT him at level 60 w/ 3 ultimate

skill sequence
dispel the blind (use gaya)
stun with the fire ball (quick change before he blinds you again)
use the blessing that increase your damage ( i forgot the skill names Very Happy )
repeat the sequence over and over till it die
use the healing skill every time your life bar becomes red if the it is still in cooldown use the mana shield
and every cooldown of the last skill the (divine intervention) use it it helps a lot

I'm pretty sure that's because the Prophet's bugged currently (0.9.2). Not to mention the manashield makes him OP as heck.
